Ladies and Gentlemen....We have a walker!

Mylie is officially walking! I'd post a video of it but I can't figure out how to download the video from my camera to my computer! I know...I'm dumb. Anyway, she had been 'cruising' for months and just couldn't get the courage to let go and try it on her own. Then one day she just let go and took off! She's still not 100% balanced but she's getting it and it won't be too long before she's running. Now I really need to make sure I child proof! Yikes!

On another note...now that Mylie is walking I've been in search for some really good shoes for her. What is with baby shoes these days? I can't seem to find any plain shoes that don't have a gigantic sole on them or that aren't bright pink. Not that I have a problem with pink shoes, it's just that I'm currently in the market for something a little more subtle. If anybody knows where I can get some plain, casual, inexpensive shoes for my little walker, please let me know.

Oh dear...

Mylie had her first big fall this weekend. We decided to get some family pictures taken even though Mike and I had promised ourselves we would loose weight before being photographed. Since Mike and I really didn't want to be in pictures (we did it for posterity) we had Jami take some of Mylie in her studio. She was looking so cute in a little red tu-tu sitting on a chair when all of the sudden she starts to tip over, plummets to the ground, bonks her head on the hardwood floor and starts screaming! I tried to run and catch her but it happened too fast. I felt terrible! Apparently she wasn't too bothered by it though because after about 1 minute of crying, she was the happy go lucky girl she always is. Way to go Mylie!! Next time dad and I will try to be more attentive.

High School Tag

Here is another game of tag. I'm sorry but I actually really like doing these things and I wish the people I tagged would do them too. Hint. Hint. This one is about high school. I thought it was kind of fun.

High School tag:

1. Did you date someone from your school? Yes. Jeffrey Colt Bowles, baby! We only dated for a year but I was in love with him forever! It's weird too because he was the worst boyfriend I ever had! I didn't fully get over him until Mike and I met. Sad huh?
2. What kind of car did you drive? I drove a blue 89 Honda Civic hatchback. It was smokin' hot!
3. Did you pass your driver's license test on the first try? I can't remember but I think I did.
4. Were you a party animal? If by party animal you mean playing BS with my friends and running in front of Sharon's car while she tried to run us over, all while listening to Dixie Chicks Ready to Run...then heck yes I was.
5. Were you considered a flirt? My senior year I was voted smoothest talker for some reason so I guess you'd say I was kind of a flirt.
6. Were you in band, orchestra, or choir? Nope. Can't sing, can't play an instrument.
7. Were you a nerd? I would say no.
8. Were you on any varsity teams? No.
9. Did you get suspended/expelled? No but maybe I should have been. Starr and I skipped class a lot! I still passed French even though I don't think I showed up for the class more than 10 times.
10. Can you still sing the fight song? I'm not sure...Once again here our school mates assemble....I think I can!
11.Who were your favorite teachers? Madame Magleby...hahahaha! Just kidding. My favorite teachers were Mr. Munson and Senior (I can't even remember his real name, sad huh?).
12. Where did you sit during lunch? I don't think we even really ate in the lunchroom. When we did we sat wherever.
13. What is your school's full name? Lehi High School
14. School mascot and colors? Pioneers, purple and white.
15. Did you go to Homecoming and who with? I did my senior year with Cody Black, my 8th grade ex.
16. If you could go back and do it again, would you? No. It was good while it lasted but life is soooo much better now!
17. What do you remember most about graduation? I remember my friends and I spelling Hi Mom and Dad on our hats. I also remember having a really fun time at the all night party.
18. Where did you go Senior Skip Day? There was a senior skip day????
19. Were you in any clubs? I was in the Key Club and Peer Leadership. Good times.
20. Have you gained some weight since then? Oh heck yes I have! I'm a big fat cow now!
21. Who was your prom date? Jr. year it was Aaron P. Worlton and my Sr. year it was Brian Collings.
22. Are you planning on going to your 10 year reunion? No way. I don't dig reunions. Anybody I want to keep in touch with, I do.
23. Did you have a job while in high school? Yes. I worked at Kmart all through high school and my first year of college. I was so happy the day I walked out those doors for good!

Cornbelly's

Last week we went to Cornbelly's as a family. Mylie fell asleep right before we got there and when she woke up she wasn't at all interested in the place. By the end she was having a good time though...

First Word

Mylie said her first word yesterday!!!! I was talking to Grandma on the phone and Mylie and Mike were playing on the floor. Mylie dropped something and Mike said "uh-oh" (I'm not really sure how to spell it so if I'm wrong, sorry) and she said it too! I don't know if I should really consider it a word, but I'm saying it is anyway. Now all of the sudden if she falls down or drops something she says 'uh-Oh'! She says it just randomly too. I guess she's just so proud she figured out how to say something, she has to say it all the time. So cute! It's so fun to watch her really develop her personality and learn new things. I'm so thankful I have been blessed with such a sweet little girl. I never in all my life thought that being a mom would be so great!
