Television

Last week Mike and I decided to save ourselves $50 a month and cancel our cable. When the cable guy came Monday morning, at 7:58 mind you, I wasn't quit prepared to do without it and I tried to convince him that he should 'accidentally' leave the digital box behind. Much to my dismay, he took the box and left us in our misery. After our sobs had subsided we had a moment of silence for our beloved cable television and then decided it was time to move on.

The first couple of days were horrible. What do you do when you can't watch A&E, Food Network and ABC Family? Turns out you can do a lot of things when you aren't clued to the TV! Our house is clean, we've been to the park 3 times this week, we've gone on a walk every single night AND get this, I've even made dinner (gasp!!). Turns out life does go on after cable television!

So we bid you farewell our beloved cable. Until we meet again (hopefully that will be in the fall. We don't want to miss out on college football).

This week

We've had a lot of fun this week. We made some banana bread and Mylie was a really good helper! We've also spent a lot of time outside. It's been so warm that we decided to blow the little pool up. I wasn't sure Mylie would like it (she didn't like the pool at all last year!) but she LOVED it! Here are some pictures...

Easter Dress

It took me a while but I finally got around to taking pictures of Mylie in her Easter dress. Sadly, she wasn't in the mood for pictures and these are the best ones we could get...

She refuses to look at me when I'm taking pictures! That little stinker!

Today...

Today I feel sad. My sweet little girl has grown too fast! I love all the new things she does and watching her develop, but today I ran across this picture and it made me wish she was little again. Does anybody else ever feel this way?

Goodbye Mullet

A couple of weeks ago I noticed that Mylie was sporting a pretty sweet mullet. As much as I love myself a good mullet, we decided it was time to cut it off.
Here is a really bad before picture...

And a couple during the cut...

And the after...

As sad as I was to see the mullet go, I think we made the right decision in the end.

Business

One thing I've learned since I've started my photography business is the last people you would expect to take advantage of you are always the first to do it. Grrrrr!!!
