The Month of December

December was a crazy month. The pictures are out of order but I don't have the energy to fix it. You get the idea anyway.

Mylie got this Belle dress and this bike from Santa!
Addie got some links

Mylie tried dance for the first time and loved it!
This month was an eventful one. We spent a lot of time with family and friends. Made lots of treats to deliver to the neighbors, ran over a tire on the freeway and almost totaled the van (which by the way, made me very sad because I have really grown to love the mini van), and just hung out as a family. It's been fun and crazy and we're really excited to start 2011!!!!

Happy New Year!!!!

Provo Tabernacle

This is a picture I got off of KSL. Isn't this amazing? They said everything else was burned in the fire except this picture! If you can't tell, it's a picture of Christ. I got chills when I saw this!

Thanksgiving

This Thanksgiving was an eventful one! We went to my parents house for dinner. Right before we got there the carbon monoxide detector that was in their basement went off. They had unplugged it a couple days before and it was just running on batteries so they figured the batteries were bad so they just took them out and ignored it. Then the detector they had upstairs went off and they started getting a little worried. Mike and I showed up with the girls and came into the house and my mom told us what happened. None of us were too worried but we decided to call the fire department just in case. They told us to get out of the house right away and they would be there shortly. When they arrived they went into the house with some probe type thing to measure the levels. As soon as they walked in the front door the probe measured the levels at a 10, which I guess is pretty high. They backed out right away and said if it was a 1o just walking through the front door, it was most likely higher than that inside the house. They called an ambulance to come out and check all of us for carbon monoxide poisoning. I was freaking out because I had my babies in the house!! Anyway, they checked us all and put us on oxygen just to be safe. Thankfully none of us had been poisoned. The Questar Gas guy came out (after sitting in the ambulance and our car for almost 2 hours) and searched for the source. They found it and fixed it. By the time we got back in the house our turkey dinner was cold but I'm so grateful we didn't ignore those detectors because we almost did!! I'm thankful for the firefighters and the paramedics for coming out and for being away from their own families on holidays so they can help keep others safe! I'm also thankful for the Questar Gas guy (even though he was as slow poke) for coming out and fixing the problem. Most importantly, I'm thankful my entire family is safe and doing well!

Time Marches On

I was cleaning up my pictures tonight and I came across this picture of Mylie. It was taken when she was a little over a year old.
Can you believe she now looks like this?

Addie has gone from this....

What we've been up to

I'm really bad at blogging!! Really the problem is that I have too many pictures on my computer and I haven't figured out how I want to store them or back them up yet so I don't want to download any more pictures. My cameras memory card is finally full so I have no other choice. I guess it's a good time to give everyone a little update.

We went to a Halloween party at the Disney store with some friends. They all looked so cute and they had a blast!

We had some fun trick or treating. We didn't dress Addie up because she is still so little but I'm excited for next year!

We picked pumpkins and carved them

After a year and a half long battle, Mylie has FINALLY decided she is potty trained!!

She's also decided that she needs to breast feed her babies!

Mylie has really been such a good big sister to Addie! She loves to hold her and help her get her binkie back in her mouth.

We've really just been enjoying hanging out as a family! It's so different with two kids but I'm loving it!!!

Dear Mylie,

You came to me three years ago today. Healthy and happy. My beautiful baby girl. I loved you right away. I will love you forever. I will always play princesses with you (as long as you still want me to!). I will always tickle you and color pictures with you. I will always be your mommy and I can't thank the Lord enough for that. You are my sunshine. My Punkin' Pie!

Love you Mylie Moo! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

Addie's Hospital Picture

I just had to post this picture. It's just the one they take of the baby while you're at the hospital but I thought it was just too cute! I took the girls to get their pictures taken yeserday. We spent a good 5 hours trying to get some decent shots. I'll post some as soon as they are ready. Hopefully we got a couple good ones....Addie was being a stinker!

With the Sweet, Comes a Little Sour

My biological father passed away on Monday. He had battled addiction to alcohol as long as I can remember. It's been hard to watch him loose everything and almost everyone he ever loved in his life because of the addiction. My half brother found him on Monday night lying on the floor in his bedroom. We don't know the cause of death yet but I I'm sure it will have something to do with the alcohol. I'm sad he is gone, but I'm so grateful to know about the plan of salvation and to know that he has another shot at it. Maybe now he can get himself better and be the person I know he really is.

Adalie Ann Hover

We welcomed Addie into our family Friday, October 1, 2010. She weighed 6 pounds, 14 ounces and was 18.5 inches long. The labor was awesome! I was in labor for a total of 4 hours!!! It doesn't get much better than that! We love her so much and are so excited to have another little girl in our family!

Not to draw attention to bad things....but check out my nose in the last picture! Since when did I get such a huge nose and droopy eyes?! Yikes!

Happy Early Birthday Mylie!

We had a birthday party for Mylie last weekend. She doesn't actually turn three until November 3rd but we figured with the baby coming, it might be easier to have Mylie's party early. She had a royal party and she, along with all of her guests, got to dress in their best princess/prince attire. I think it was a hit!

Mylie and Uncle Colton
Opening presents
My mom made this castle cake for Mylie! I thought she did an awesome job and Mylie was thrilled!!!
Don't you think she makes a cute Cinderella?! She had to wear the dress the rest of the day!

I know she isn't three quite yet but I can't believe she will be!!! Where did the time go?!
