This is Mylie's 4th of July outfit. Isn't it so cute?!? Grandma bought it for her.


Here we are at the parade. Mylie got a kick out of the fire trucks. She got to see her uncle Aaron and her cousin Owen riding in one!

My friend Katie did this on her blog and I thought it was a lot of fun so here ya go...actually Katie M. and Katy S. are really the only ones who even know about my blog so I'm guessing they are the only ones who will even do this but it's still fun...

Parenting help

Okay I'm in need of some parenting help...Every time I put Mylie down, she starts screaming. I don't know if I should just pick her up and pack her around or if I should let her cry it out....What do I do???? I've been trying to reassure her that I'm not going far but she still freaks. The last couple of days I've been sitting next to her and playing with her for a while so she gets distracted but the problem is she continually checks to make sure I'm still there and if I'm not...the crying begins. She isn't even comforted by Mike. She just wants mommy to hold her 24/7. Any suggestions??? I'm at a loss. The crying it out doesn't seem to work (I'll admit it's partly my fault. She just has such sad little eyes when she's crying) the packing her around isn't working (some things just don't work with a baby in your arms. Like going to the bathroom...) and the reassuring her isn't working. Is this just a phase? Help!!

More projects!!!

Mike and I have been working like crazy to get our yard in shape! We've stayed up until midnight every night this week just working on it. Both of us are so tired but we're finally getting somewhere!!! Tonight we're going to level the ground in the back yard so we can plant sod on Tuesday. Hooray!! It's been way too long. We've lived in our house for two years and finally it's starting to look decent. On Thursday we're going to start putting the fence up. I'll post some pictures soon. I'd do it now but I'm at work and don't have the pictures on my work computer. Thanks Aaron for helping us out with all of this! We couldn't have done it without you. Also, thank you Em for letting us steal Aaron so much these last few weeks. I know you don't get a lot of time with him as it is. You guys are the best!!!!
