Our Vacation

We've been back from our mini vacation for two weeks now and this is the first time I've had a minute to post about it! We had a blast in Arizona!! Our great friends Chad and Katie let us stay with them for most of it and we were able to do a lot of really fun things with them. Watch out....here come a lot of pictures!
Mylie was really excited to see Mallory and Ben and I think they were excited to see her too! They played so well together and they wore each other out!

Of course we also got to enjoy lots of sunshine while we were there! Mylie had tons of fun at the park by Chad and Katie's house. We took the kids to the park in the morning so they would be worn out and take really good naps before we went to the children's museum in Phoenix later that day. It worked very well!

The children's museum was one of the coolest things we did while we were there. In the art room they had a little wood house that they let the kids paint every single day. It was fun to watch Mylie with the paint. The activity was short lived though because of her overwhelming desire to eat the pretty paint. This is the only picture we got of it.

They had tons of pool noodles hung from the celling and you could just walk through them. I have to say, it was a little trippy but totally fun and such a cool idea!

This is a view of the first floor from the second floor. Mylie loved that big tunnel. She would have spent the entire day in there if I would have let her. It was hard for me though because I couldn't see her when she was crawling through and I'm kind of paranoid. I need to let loose a little!

They had a room there that was for kids 3 and under. That was my kind of room! It wasn't as packed as the rest of the place and the stuff they had in there was perfect for Mylie. She loved all the balls!

The next day we went to see the Easter Pageant at the Mesa temple. It rained all day but a few hours before the show it cleared up. It was still a little chilly (Arizona chilly, which is so not the same as Utah chilly!) so we were all bundled up waiting for the show to start. There were so many people there! We went about three hours early so we could be sure to get a seat. It was such a good pageant and I would recommend it to anyone who is in Mesa around Easter!

Easter Sunday we went to church with Chad and Katie and then we were off to Heber to visit Mike's Dad and Grandma. Heber is in the mountains of Arizona so it has weather a lot like Utah. It had snowed a few days before we came but it all melted before we got there so it was really nice. This is the only good picture I could get of Mylie in her Easter dress. I hope to take some better ones as soon as I get the time. This will have to do for now!

Grandpa Sam and Grandma Fraizer had a mini Easter egg hunt for Mylie while we were there. She had so much fun looking for the eggs!

By the last night of our vacation we were so tired and ready to come home!!

Thanks to Chad and Katie for letting us stay with them (I know it couldn't have been easy) and for showing us such a good time while we were there! We love you guys!!!!! Also, thanks to Grandpa Sam and Grandma Fraizer for the Easter egg hunt and the yummy dinner! It was so nice to see you guys again!!!

Mental Breakdown

I'm on the verge of a mental breakdown. It's been coming on for quite some time now. Lately I've had a really hard time balancing being a banker, a photographer, a wife, a mother and a maid. Where does one find the time to go grocery shopping, go to the doctor, check your email, have a fun day at the park with the family?? I feel like I don't even have time to brush my hair!

As luck would have it (or the Lord would have it) I was blessed (and I have to remind myself that this is, in fact, a blessing) to receive a new calling this week. When a member of the bishopric called Mike and asked to come over, we figured we were getting released from our Sunday school duties and they were going to throw us in the nursery. That's what they do with people like us, right? To my surprise this is not what was to happen. Yes ladies and gentlemen, I have been called as the RS secretary. This is what my face looked like when Bro. Fraughton broke the news...I tried really hard to put on a 'I'm so happy and really excited' face but this is how I REALLY felt inside...
I know I should be happy. I'm really trying to be happy. There is a reason they called me to this position (it's there somewhere behind the madness!). It just feels like it couldn't have come at a worse time for me! Today I got a phone call from the new RS president and in a 10 minute conversation I managed to fill my week with FIVE different meetings I have to attend. FIVE! This is on top of two bridal shoots, 32 hours of working in an office, making dinner, doing the laundry, having family time and preparing for a bridal show.

So if you see me out and about, don't be surprised if I look like this... At this point, this would be considered a good day!

St. Patrick's Day

St. Patrick's day is kind of a special day for us. Mike and I celebrate the anniversary of our first date (eight years ago) and our engagement anniversary (five years ago) on St. Patrick's Day. We never REALLY celebrate, but we remember it and think about both events and how happy we are to have found each other! This year I got a very special surprise while at work. Mike sent me flowers to tell me happy anniversary! So sweet!
We've decided to introduce the potty to Mylie. She's still pretty young so we aren't pushing the whole potty training thing, but I think she understands it a little bit. Every time she has to potty (#2) she hides so she can do it in private so I thought now would be a good time to get her acquainted with the toilet. I think they're friends now.

She insisted on sitting on her new potty while brushing her teeth this morning! Silly girl!!

We ended the day by climbing into the tub with our clothes on. I had turned around to grab her washcloth and she just took a nose dive. She's quite the climber these days.

Treehouse Museum

Today my friend Tory and I took our girls to the Treehouse Museum. If you have kids and you've never been there...you need to go! It's the coolest place for kids!!! Tory and I were worn out by the end but we had a ton of fun and so did the girls!! I took a ton of pictures! So cute!!
